Education & Background
Dr. Maria Galvan obtained her dental degree from the University Complutense of Madrid, Spain. She completed her certificate in Periodontics, as well as her Master of Science in Craniofacial Biology, at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry in 2013. After graduation, she successfully became a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology.
Work as an Educator
Dr. Galvan has held a part-time teaching position as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the section of Periodontics at the University of Southern California Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry.
She maintained a private practice limited to periodontics and dental implants in Dallas (Texas) before becoming a full-time academician at UCLA School of Dentistry as a Health Science Assistant Clinical Professor of Periodontics.
Her quality of work has allowed her to be selected for multiple scholarships during her time as a resident and academician. Dr. Galvan has also shared her passion in the field of periodontics and implant dentistry with the research community through the manifestation of articles for publication and the presentation of abstracts.
