Her
Philosophy

Dr. Hamzehpour’s motto is that she only wants “to provide the same level of quality dentistry that I would like to receive." She also understands that people have different belief systems and expectations. That is why she tries to get to know her patients and then creates a treatment plan and timeframe designed to meet their individual needs. She truly loves her job and having the chance to educate her patients regarding gum disease and the effects of a healthy mouth and its benefits to whole-body health.

Why Did You Choose to
Become a Dentist?

As a child, she loved photography and working with her hands. In college, she realized that dentistry allowed her to continue her passion for artistry while making a difference. She even volunteered at a dental office while she attended school. Every day, she’s glad she chose this career path and now leads our dedicated team here at Blue Coast Dental Group. She keeps a long-term perspective when it comes to patients’ oral health, which helps them maintain a healthy overall lifestyle.

Where Did You
Study Dentistry?

Although she grew up on the East Coast, Dr. Hamzehpour graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from UCLA and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UCLA in 2008. While there, she completed two “mini residencies” (one in aesthetic dentistry and one in dental implant restoration) as well as research in sleep apnea. She still consistently takes continuing education classes at UCLA. She has had extensive post-graduate training in adult orthodontics, such as Invisalign, as well. Here are other examples of the continuing education training she has had over the years:

  • World Clinical Laser Institute – Soft Tissue & Hard Tissue Laser Certification Course
  • Invisalign and ClearCorrect Certified
  • Soft Tissue Grafting & Crown Lengthening, Hands on Cadaver Workshop
  • USDI: A three-year orthodontics course designed to enable a general dentist to be able to handle 70% of adult and child malocclusion
  • Endodontic (Root Canal Therapy) continuing education at the world-famous Buchanon education laboratories as well as UCLA

What Do YOu Like to Do OUtside the Dental Office?

Away from the dental office, Dr. Hamzehpour likes spending time with her two boys and husband, hiking up the coast in and around the Palos Verdes Peninsula, volunteering at Cornerstone Elementary School, and crafting. When she needs to destress, you’ll find her doing yoga as well.
